This trip was different. None on x raps, none close to the boat, one or two far back and the rest in the medium distant range and the out boats put on a clinic but we are also running 4 of those now(2 on each side one close on a hand line and one far off a hali rod). Only got one on the blue brush zuker during the first triple header the rest of the fish were on bright green, blue green, and green zukers. Also saw fish this trip and turned on them and hooked up.
The weather is looking good for this weekend. hoping to get a couple of days in. Looks like there has been a down grade in weather forecast. Its just looking better and better.
OK This is why it is better with more boats working together. Went out this am to Barkley Canyon, Why Not to Nitnat, Dac and Island Bound came later. We got to Barkley 8 am had 1 bite, on radio with Istvan (why Not) was into fish just off nitnat. Relayed messages to all boats. everyone ended up there. We left at 3:30 with 17 on. 53 mile from Beale. Why not, dac and Island Bound still fishing had lots of fish on great day. Higher swells early but calmed down. Lots of tuna caught with more boats spread out can find them and hone in on them. Thanks Istvan finding them and letting us know.

Damn great job out there Don and Crew! Things are picking up pretty good with some great targeting. Don, were your trusty black and puples pulling them today? I see a few of the other boats using diving lures, but I often see good reports from you with the jets and zukes, mostly top water lures...

will post a report when i rest up. Mike P, Birdsnest, Sculpin and i plus a couple of other boats probably brought in around 120 tuna. Pippen and Damnfish are spent, lol!!
