Your Hotrod or Classic Car Pics

IMG_9930.jpegMy dad rocked a pretty sick 65 AC Cobra Rep built by Backdraft at their Phoenix winter home. Anytime I went to visit, I had the pleasure of burning some rubber. Also won a fair amount of hardware at car shows. Bought in the recession 13 years ago and sold for double what he paid for it 10 years later.IMG_0451.png

I'm sure there are a few guys and gals on here that have a car passion and own some nice rides. Would be nice to see some pics so if we see one another at any show and shines or shows we will know that we share fishing as a hobby too. Mine is a 65 Mustang my dad bought new and is the car I learned to drive in when I was 16. It is a factory paint car that my dad kept stock. This past winter I resto-ed it but honored the factory paint by only cleaning the engine bay and undercarriage. So I now have an even rarer factory paint restmod. 429 HP 331 stroker produced from a 302 Dart block. 5 speed Tremec and a 9 inch. Front discs, Borgeson steering and Global West front suspension.
That’s special right there. Nice job Rollie!

My Mom's car when I was a teenager 1978 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with mechanical fuel injection. Took of the pollution controls to let it breathe & perform better. Handling was awesome - a sweet ride! Wish a bought it when she sold it with only 42K km's

My Dads car circa the same time period that I learned how to drive with. 1975 Datsun 280Z 2+2 - great touring car.

Car my Dad had before the 280Z - 1968 Ponitac Grand Prix - love the hidden headlights

Hey that's exactly what happened to my 72 240z, cap road, 3 am...Bus stop and power pole...end of that car it literally exploded.
It was the nature of the beast for those Datsun 240, 260 and 280s . I had a 71 240Z , put a turbo , headers and cam ,also suspension. Sold it for good money and bought my first house in 1975. Called the buyer 2 weeks after I sold it and his wife answered and told me he was in the hospital after wrapping it around a pole.

Yah my dad had a 55 or 56 Merc step side 1/2 ton which was nice but just his daily driver. Red with black interior and a 312 V8...I know it was manual but don't remember if on the column or the floor. He sold it and the guy did pretty much a frame off, painted it lacquer black and dropped a performance 289 into it. Within a month it was destroyed around a pole.

Here's one of them a 71 SS 350. Got about 9 miles to the gallon
I was living in Penticton when i sold it to a young guy from OK Falls. He wrapped it around a power pole driving it home

The old man’s alcohol funny car, first to go over 200mph in the quarter back in the day on the island, had a corvette body on it then, put a Canso body on it a dozen years ago to fool our US friends. Pics were from Bakersfield, CA in 2012 or ‘14

Yikes.... mine ended up taking out a bus stop and the pole in Surrey .. the engine was almost sitting in the passenger seat :( I did love the car :)

Picked up this 89 bricknose last year. It’s nice, but not too nice to put to work. Did a Dana 60 swap earlier this year, and a ton of other parts. The 5.0 is on its way out, have a 5.8 on a stand in the shop that I’ll put in once I get me hands on a set of GT40 heads, explorer injectors and MAF swap parts.
The other rig is a 1997 TJ with an 8.8 swap, 4.10 gears, 33’s and some other goodies. Not really classics but old enough. Behind it is the off road trailer I built.

This is my first post on this forum or any other forum. I would like to share this picture of my 59 3100 it is self built including paint and upholstery C4 front and rear suspension, small block 406 Tuned Port Fuel Injection and 700R4 transmission. I took this picture this spring after the May Days Show in Kaslo. The truck is lots of fun to drive handles like a 90's corvette.

Love the 3100’s!
I’m a big fan of the early 50’s with the big grille. Is yours considered an “Apache” with the double headlights? Love the slanted cab too.
