I’m doing impellers this week. Pulled the lower unit off last night, part of the driveshaft bushing came down with the shaft. I’ve got the old one all cleaned and parts on the way. Any tips for getting the new one into place? Grease and hammer with a dowel?
Talking to myself here…bushing went in a lot easier than I thought. Clean the bore out, grease and light tapping with a socket on extension. 2 out 3 impellers done. The last one will wait till I have a bushing in my hand
