Why we fish!

hey leftcoast---yes, it was---pic taken in front of Lund Hotel

5 days hard fishing without a sniff, then, after more or less giving up all hope, an alligator in 10 feet of water. Story of my life

I have spent a lot of time fishing around Lund only to end up on that deck behind you drinking beer. Always good times between Lund pub and South beach on Savary.

I started fishing when I was about 5 years old. My grandson caught his first rainbow at 2-1/2. Now, a year later, he's into bigger game. "I caught it!" he says, "But daddy had to help a bit." I guess so...

That smile's one of the reasons that I fish!

Dave's biggest fish...

so far:
We were there for the early bite at Kirby but it was dead so we zoomed over to Meare's Bluff. Dave barely had the first rod in the holder when it went off. A real screamer. Good neighbours moved away as Dave played the fish. It spooled on the second run so we had the little 8HT kicker wound up to back onto it. His Walmart Okuma reel was literally smoking. The fish came to the boat, then submarined. We knew it was a nice fish but not how nice until it came up and rolled into the waiting net.

You're killing us, How big?

Free stickers for the guy that guesses the correct weight! lol
It was weighed on the Poett Nooky scale so YMMV but 38 lbs.

Hey any day on the water is better then a day at work unless your work is on the water, I like being out on the water, fishing is a bonus, catching is even better.
