hey guys
we just moved from the north shore to delta. yesterday we launched at wellinton park in ladner and went west for what seemed like an hour! the water was at the most 10 feet deep. so, if you launch from there, where would you go to get into some deeper water.
And, are there any other launches in the delta/south surrey/white rock area? i'm used to just going to ambleside and dropiing a line within a minute of launching.
is there anything in boundary bay?
thanks in advance.

How big is your boat? If you watch your tides you can launch on the beach at the Ferry terminal in Tssawassen or you can go to Cresent beach (White Rock area) they have a launch.
Ferry road in ladner is the only other I know but it is an long ride out to the chuck from there. 1/2 hour to 45mins.
Other than that its MacDonald beach in Richmond still almost 1/2 hour ride to the mouth.
Good Luck

Little known launch is at Steveston port authority at the east end of town. Small fee, deposit in mailbox at a perfect (fed) boat ramp. Secure parking, chain link fenced if you overnight on the water. half hr to sand head & great late season fishing. steveston has two fuel barges, lots of tackle stores & gear.

you can also launch at Captn's Cove in Ladner. When running west from Wellington pt, you should take the channel towards steveston if you are near low tide and don't know the channel down Canoe pass. Safest way to go.

thanks guys. nice feedback. i have a 17' runabout. if we go from crescent beach, are there any fish in between there and point roberts?
i think we will head out from willington park and go up towards steveston.
thanks again guys.

captains cove marina is the best launch in the delta area, just be very careful leaving the fraser at sand heads whatch the wind and tides as you can get some very ugly standing waves.
