WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN A NEW BOAT SHOW? Suggestions needed.

A display that shows the action of different lures... to show how they "swim"..

Either digital or in some sort of water tank...

I think Island Outfitters do a good job of the show...certainly better then the old Outdoor - Fishing show!
What I feel strongly about is it must be all inclusive with no one banned and more importantly the same rules of all inclusive should apply to Sea Pro fishing distributors!
your idea of a lure action site is a really good one....there are lots on the internet, but I did not see one at the show.

Personally I think the roller hockey arena at westhills is a great venue. I have been to many family events there and the westshore really shows up in numbers. Langford is 100% behind stuff like this. Juan de fuca recs "Q center" formerly bear mountain, is a great option as well.

Free shuttle to the Seattle show.

LOL....gooder. Cool idea about lure action. I wonder why no one has got on with that.

I think a covered outdoor portion of the venue where some of the new motors can be run in tanks. They had an ETEC indoors at the Seattle show and it was cool to see just how quiet and clean burning it was (as that was a selling point for the dealer, and the reason it was the only motor running indoors)

Lastly,

More good looking, immodestly dressed women handing out information pamphlets for boats I can't afford.

The guy who started Tomic Lures used to have a water filled plastic tank and a setup that showed the plugs running @ different speeds.

Lots of seminars from different guides or experts, that are from our local BC waters. All the different experts, to cover all the different targeted species of BC namely for the Island and south

Bud Lite Girls/ Cheerleaders and maybe some wrestling. How about "Lucky Lager Girls bait tank wrestling. LOL.

Until I win the lotto, I won't be buying a new boat, and I think most guys are with me on that. Perhaps more stuff related to the ongoing spending that keeps us from saving up for a new boat: engine info from suppliers and some interesting engine info/ re-power options. Boat maintenance/ fishing gear- sometimes fly rods loaded with line and space for demos, trout pond for the kids.

Instead of just charity raffles, how about some on site gambling 50/50 with a chance to win cash that weekend, so we could dream about spending it on something big.

Or just those Lucky Girls

Industry experts and TV personalities such as Mark Pendlington and/or some of the captains from Deadliest Catch and Wicked Tuna. Oh and when they bring one in don't charge $15 extra to take your own photo of them or with them eg. Mary-Ann this year requesting cash for your own photo was embarrassing and way 'Outta Line' for that venue ! (oops, sorry Tim)

I would like to see more vendors selling stuff at the show. Not just viewing & maybe getting to their store down the road. When I go to a show I like to buy a few things & take out with me or at least purchase & have shipped ? Never see this offered at shows. At Vancouver Boat show Nika & Stevston marine are the major 2 vendors for fishing gear normally . Would be nice to see a display of TUNA gear !!!! Videos of lures in action always a hit. Customer service is always BIG !! Harbor Chandler took $4k off me at last show because of there 200% customer service ! Put people in the show who really want to be there to display your item . I myself have been getting board with local show's & really enjoy the U.S ones. Maybe the hoast is charging to much to get more vendors intrested in this tight B.C market. ???
My two bitts S.W
P.S Better Boat show Deals !!!!
