Of the three hooks Wolf mentioned, I currently use the high end Mustad trebles and the Owner Stinger trebles. Have never used the VMC trebles so I can't really speak to them but will give them a try out of curiosity.
The Owner Stingers are excellent strong hooks, very sharp out of the box and they have a short shank for the size of the hook. This may possibly result in a very slight increase in the possibility that the large salmon may be cutting its teeth across the leader rather than on the hook if it is in the lip area of the fish than a hook with a longer shank. If a hook is deeper in the mouth the teeth will be on the leader anyway, so it is a very minor consideration. I suspect there is some advantage to the short shank design, possibly to do with leverage or something, but I don't know what it is. They don't seem to be quite as corrosion resistant as the Mustads and bought in small lots they are pricy at not far off $2 dollars each. Perhaps they make some other more typical treble designs that I have not tried.
I really like the Mustad Kingfish 4X strong, size 2 trebles for larger Anchovies. They are sharp out of the box, super strong (you will never bend one out) and the most corrosion resistant hook I have ever used other than solid stainless hooks. The mustads are coated in either a silver gray metalic coating or a candy red metalic reflective coating. Lately I have been unable to find the red ones. They are very competitive price wise and I buy them in the bulk 25 Qty box. The silver gray Ref. # is 3592BLN and the red is 3592DR. The coating does wear off with a lot of fish hitting/teeth scraping it, but they still do not corrode.
