welp...at least he picked the right time of the year to stage one of the usual foreign adventures. you know your presidentisl ratings are nosediving if you start invading other countries to improve em.
in the meantime, my canadian winter boating adventure continues.
What didn't you like about it? I've got a similar model but haven't used it yet.

When it worked, it was great. Paid good money to have it serviced at Trotac and was told never to bring it back as it's too old, something you love to hear after dropping 3-400$. For $4000 new with an install kit, I think they should stock parts and stand behind it long term. It worked with multiple problems, including a backdraft when used at high power while underway, and filling the cabin with a burned kerosene smell. It then worked well on low, but last time out, it wouldn't ignite; also, in the driveway, it started dripping kerosene when I tried to ignite it. From other C-Dory owners accounts the 85D and newer ones are better. If yours works, use it, but if it's a 95D, I wouldn't bother getting it serviced. Service costs were 2-3 times the price of a Chinese diesel heater or 1/3 the cost of a planar/autoterm. The model number is in the front right corner.

I was going to go with Shockwave bases, but I just cannot stomach prices for their accessories. I dont have a problem spending $1200-$1500 for the base, but $1200 slide/ swivel attachment is just too pricey for me. The mid grade package with swivel and slide option for two seats would cost me just over $6K with tax or $7K with upgraded tempress seats. Instead, I went with the Scandinavian Seat System out of Vietnam. There is not a lot of reviews out there , but I am willing to take a chance . Height adjustable base with included swivel and slide option runs just under $1000 CDN for RRW system, including UPS delivery to Canada. Goods made in Vietnam are supposedly duty free when imported to Canada,so that's always a bonus. When my package arrives, I will post initial review.

Couple years back when I set up the Shockwave system on my boat to save some cost I went with a low cost swivel on top of the Shockwave base and it worked fine. Just your standard marine swivel / slide base like a $150 base or what ever it was. Had the slide and the swivel in one. Shockwave bases will accept any standard seat system.

The yacht pictured is Rocinante. Zurk's pic was in Port Louis Marina in Grenada but Rocinante has left this morning and is underway now.

yeah. he needed the dock space for his new boat - still in plastic wrap. and his old one needed to pick him up at his hotel.
and ive included a few pics of the tender on the new one and the garage.
old one looks better at night than the new one but i guess he prefers the larger size on the new one.
bigger is better even for billionaires. 200 footitis, anyone ?

Ran to Nelson island for work today. Lots of wood in the water but the zip wakes made the ride awesome. Averaged 28mph 84.6 nautical miles 132 litres of gas. Right around 2.4mpg. Not bad as I was around 2.1 ish

line up of superyacht "taxis" waiting to collect their clients from the $140K USD/night hotel. only 1 dock space available so they hang out in the middle of the navigation channel like inconsiderate a**holes. at the hotel dock is game changer - vitasoy drinks mfg chinese special. the 2 at anchor in the middle of the channel are of course half life pc gaming specials youve seen already. the one after that is a special charter passenger cruise ship which is the smallest of the 4. all the beaches are public so you can enjoy the same beeches without paying $140K per night.
