What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Dropped the boat back at the dealership for the 4th time since buying it in July for warranty issues on my 2025 Tuff Trailer. They sure don’t make things like they used to. I should have just rebuilt my old trailer if I knew it was going to be such a nightmare!

Omg. What a pile of junk if your having issues already in a few months. That's ridiculous.

Is this more for aesthetic reasons , Or are you wanting to keep fish off the base of the compartment ?
Fair question but I find the fish and ice bottles dam up the blood and water from rinsing and I have to move them around by hand to get the mixture to the pump-out drain. I’m anticipating just having to turn the pump on while rinsing with the washdown hose in the future and the fluid will free-flow under the mat to the drain.
The added bonus is the fish not sitting in the fluid; seems like a win-win to me but time will tell.

Care to share what the issues have been? I have a 8500lb Tuff bought new in early 2020 and it has been trouble free.

Completed a couple of upgrades that I am very happy with. Had one Shockwave seat suspension installed earlier in the season, and now got hold of another one. They are not matching, but I got a good deal and they are a game changer in rough seas. A proper footrest may be a good idea, but the plastic step stool works good for now.
Also got some nice stainless steel downrigger rails installed - another great upgrade. gets the downriggers up where they are much more comfortable to operate, gives something to hold on to for safety and something to hang a fender off.IMG_8549.jpegIMG_8550.jpegIMG_8553.jpeg

I ordered a fold down one online for pretty cheap. It was surprisingly nice quality. If only I could remember where the heck I ordered it from.

It seems to be a case of bad luck, as I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. Hence, why I bought one, and I am still happy with it. The dealer has resolved it all now. The first day I brought it home, I noticed excessive play in both bearings. I brought it back, and they agreed with me that it was a lot of play and fixed it. Next, getting ready for my maiden voyage (the trailer hadn’t seen water yet), I noticed a puddle of brake fluid underneath. It appeared to be leaking from one of the fittings. They replaced it and assured me it was all good. Well, I get home, the trailer still hasn’t seen water, and it’s dripping brake fluid from the other side. They sent a tech out to my house and found the brake line had split in three places going into the caliper. Finally, after two trips, most of the LED lights on the trailer had burnt out. The trailer is all fixed up now, and I am happy with it.
