Looking good! How do you like the wood walk around on the trailer? I do a lot of tight rope walking on mine, without wood. Any downsides to it other than weight?

Love the walking platform. I get so many comments at the ramp. "damn.... that's smart".
I back in close to dock and can step from the dock to the platform when launching and retrieving solo. Did not add much weight. That is why I used treated wood instead of metal. Very happy with it. No downsides.

Then proceeded to drop a 3rd one not tied properly and it sunk to the same spot.

Impeller replaced on my kicker after the engine stopped peeing in Barkley sound.. Relatively easy job and good way to learn compared to replacing it on big engines.

Been going hard at it on days off getting it up to par. Did a good cut and polish on the whole unit, engines included. New decals on the main, little custom adjustment on those the discerned eye will pick up on. New tie bar between main and kicker. All new lights on trailer, new master cylinder and break callipers, new seals and bearings, will get new rubber next week. Got the downriggers mounted. Put some good reinforcement under gunnels to secure them. Not in pic but built a cleaning table / flasher hook holder for back. Boat runs great ans fishes nice. Had it out 3 times so far at home and all works nice. Also not in pic but got all new canvas and plastics built everything new on them zippers and all. Did the canvas in black just to up date it.

Yah kind of. I ordered the new decals and they came as factory for the year. But I didn’t like the big goddy blue stripes on them, to dated. So I took a razor blade and very carefully trimmed all the blue off the decal and just kept the white mercury. Looks a lot better, brings it more up to date I think.

Thanks, yah can’t wait to get out again. Not sure we will make it this year do to a busy summer but we do have a trip planned for Sooke next summer if all goes well. I may sneak out this late Aug but just not sure yet.

How did you pull off the old decals? Heat gun? I hear they don’t come off easy.

Yes used a heat gun they came off like butter.
