Took her out for the first time this year and it was going great until it wasn’t. Really loud knocking noise that slowed the boat right down. Not sure what it is but that might be the end for this engine. Walk of shame to end the day. But huge thanks to the silver streak that stopped and towed us all the way back to lions gate. Well, lots done to the ol' Sea Ray this winter:
Installed a 140TT Lewmar bow thruster - too much drama at times, down the long fairway and then backing in. In the water soon to try it out.

New Point 1, Lowrance FS 9 and Halo 20+ radar installed. I used the pedestal SFBC member Brandon fabricated and welded - very nice, now with white epoxy paint! Pictures coming soon.

late last night found myself cleaning up projectile vomit from my boy so I ended up staying home with him today. He watched movies and ate crackers and I cleaned the boat. Starbrite aluminum cleaner works wonders.

Yessir. I spray on, let sit for a few minutes, agitate with a white scotch brite pad, let sit, then repeat until you get your desired look. I had scuff marks from my bumpers while moored on the salt last season and they disappeared. You can pretty much regrain your aluminum at this stage if you use a green scotch brite pad but be warned, it’s hard on the shoulders. And I also would not recommend doing it in the wind and I would wear eye protection as well.

Installed the “black box” that I got from bcbassfishing. Wired in a switch for the flasher charger I made last month. Looked at the ripped material on my doghouse and vow to do something about it this year. Maybe lol. Last year I just duct taped the tears and frayed edges. Unless….Anybody podding their boat and have a fiberglass doghouse they’re looking to part with?

No I’m not… , I thought the dog thing was hilarious and got me thinking about my dog, and if there’s something I can build for him with all the materials I’m going to have left over after this rebuild

Yup. I usually have a wet cloth handy if I do get some overspray just in case but I’ve never had a problem with any of my paint or graphics.

Putting the bits and bobs back on after a twenty year refit. Re& re engine and leg. Engine refresh at Advanced Marine. Sandblast, prime and paint the topsides.
All pretty on the inside too.

There’s one at monaro in Richmond. I was gonna buy it before my engine grenaded
