What Colour Dummy Flashers for Sockeye

I do red on one side green on the other at the Fraser mouth when it’s open. One of the top rods in Vancouver uses green and chartreuse… I know others do well with blue
I have a chartreuse Kone zone to run off the ball. The I am thinking of two dummy flashers above spaced at 5’ apart. I’ll try a mix of chartreuse, green, red, and blue.

Thanks.

Kone zone don't work good for sox at that reall slow speed. The triangle shaped ones, agitator, work a little better. I have better luck with one or more regular flasher

Good point, the triangles will always spin plus you can mix the colors up if you want and lengthen it when you want.

I have enough dummy flashers I can switch out the kone zone. I am thinking about 1.8 mph to 2 for trolling speed?

The other night, the only sockeye I got was doing slightly less than the speed you indicated, and on a turn so it was on the slow side. Don’t forget that sockeye get hypnotized and love to follow the gear, so a change in depth, maybe going to neutral and then back in the gear could trigger a strike.

Years ago, I bought a bundle of old, beat up commercial sockeye set-ups - flashers with leaders and trimmed down hootchies attached. All the flashers were green, nothing else. Ever since, I have only used green.

Back then green and red were the only options!

I agree with above, don’t overthink it. Put some flash down and go, it’s not rocket science. Kind zones have worked great for me.
