Wanted gm 3500hd dually

Agree people that have em don’t seem to want to sell em. Was looking at new gm 100k plus plus and all have a recall on the 10 speed trans no parts in stock to replace the valve body in them the the recall doesn’t actually fix it just tells you when is just about to grenade that’s what you get for 100 plus grand rever mind the 20 k repair when the ticking time bomb cp4 fuel pump goes south. What the F is going on
Ok rant over.
Duramax hasn't had a cp4 since 2016. My l5p with the 6 speed has been awesome 👌

My personal favorite is the 2008.....most wanted diesel.... my 3500 (245,000 kms) is just an SLE, but always having people ask if it is for sale!

I am a GM man!

07 LBZ old body style non def, 6spd trans, injectors outside valve covers, decent turbo inlet pipe stock, easy to tune and dial in! but worth a mint nowadays with low km

I drive an 08 - LMM duramax with 6 speed allison. Bullit proof. As long as it's not deleted or tuned. I think they are worth looking at, too. It has the exhaust burner but pre 2010 they don't have the DEF fluid.

I also have an LMM. It is deleted and tuned and it runs like a top. I had it tuned by a guy named IdahoRob in 2014. No lope tunes allowed. I told him what was done to it, what I was planning on using it for and what size tires I was running. Kept the hp down under 500 and maximized the torque. Other than basic maintenance, new intercooler/ turbo connections and having to replace the rear ubolts as I stretched them out the thing has been a dream to drive. I’m running a 5” exhaust from downpipe back and it’s not even loud.

Hard to find, I think I'm keeping this forever. Just clicked over 120,000km, it makes a few camping trips year and launches the boat.

You shouldn't have the tie-downs connected if you are using the jacks to stabilize the camper. If you get a flat tire in the middle of the night, your camper jacks will be holding the entire truck up.

I had this happen once. Rim developed a pin hole leak. But knew about this outcome, so I had released them, thankfully. It would’ve ripped the tie down mounts, out of the camper. Good advice!!

makes sense, I'm putting too much trust in the 16ply rating.

$48,000 for a 20 year old truck!!

I've never hauled a camper, so maybe it's needed....but whenever I see a 3500 dually with aftermarket airbags I wonder how heavy they were loading the truck!!
Yeah any camper with a slide, fully wet is dam heavy. The multi slide campers push all but the newest 1ton dullies well over payload. I’ve seen pictures of them with frames that have buckled. I run a 2500lb wet camper on a single rear wheel and it needed stabiloads to engage the overload springs, either that or airbags.

For 48k I'd want a new shiny ball, not an old rusted one. I’m not sure he could sell it at 38k.
