Ultra deck / Sea dek?

I know there are posts out there on this stuff. I want opinion on people who purchased these floors and the longevity of them so far? I may choose to go with the custom molds and install. Pictures after 5 years? 10 years? For a fiberglass boat, looking to protect floor from future dings and make a little more aesthetic as the floor is solid but aged some.
thx

After 6 years I think my Ultradeck still looks pretty good. Dungeness crabs are a hazard though; they really like pinching gouges in the material lol. Other than that, I find it’s pretty durable and great to move around on.

Agree on the dungies. Now I put a tarp down for crabs.

All of these deck materials are so nice to be on. Especially if you ever have to kneel!

I know you want historical feedback but I had mine done with Ultradeck this spring and it has held up well so far. Such a nice product and it looks amazing

Ok nice, thanks all.. and what costs start to finish with templating and install should i expect on a 23 foot (typical walk around) boat?

Just for comparison,I did a couple of boats buying the material from Amazon and installed myself. The sheets are usually about 35"-39' and about 94" long and are in the $90-$130 range each.I used 4 sheets on the 22 Searay and probably be about that much for my Seasport including the pod.So under $500 all done and easy to install. The big "BUT" though is that it is finished in straight lines ,so doesn't compare to the Ultra/Sea deck custom overhead router computer generated graphics. I still find it looks good with rounded corners and fitted around hatches etc.. Go Pro if you can afford it or save some $ and still look pretty good.

We've had Ultradeck on our boat for 4 summers and work the boat about 60 days per summer, and use the boat for our own fun in the winter another 15-20 days. I've been surprised at how well it holds up. The only thing that has really caused any damage to the deck has been some errant bat swings... 10/10 would recommend the shop in Parksville. But I would also recommend doing it soon to avoid the preseason rush. You will be very happy with the product!

How does it hold up to having a Labrador Retreiver in the boat?
We've had a couple dogs on board and have had them going at it pretty good. Claws out, jumping back and forth. Thought we were going to have some solid scratches from that, but there was nothing to show from it. Nowthey do it all the time... still the same result.

Sounds like a positive experience.
I've heard it quiets an aluminum boat a bit too.
Does blood wash off easy? Does it hold any smell? Has the adhesion failed anywhere?

Definitely makes the aluminum feel different, but I can't say it makes it quieter because I've only used the boat with the UltraDeck, so I can't make the comparison. But, I'd have to imagine it does. Blood is easy to wash off, not quite as easy gel coat or grit paint on aluminum. But its certainly not difficult. Sprays off with a washdown pumps and if it dries on there a quick rinse with the washdown and scrub with brush gets it off. Haven't found it holds any smell, but I do like to give the deck a solid soaping after most outings. I haven't had any adhesion failure. Pretty shocked a corner hasn't started to lift or anything. Really happy with it.
