I'm driving to the LM Friday night. On Saturday I need to do 2 gift dropoffs, buy an outboard, go to PNT and Nikka, buy a tuna, have lunch with my Mom, pick up my son and then drive back to the Okanagan. Will there be a whole frozen albacore at the dock as in years past?

There were 3 places selling frozen Albies down on the dock today @ Steveston-$4/lb no idea if they'll be there later in week though.

Thanks; will check on Saturday. Last year I was able to thaw a whole one just enough to seperate the loins, eat one and refreeze the other three. A friend has a fish band saw now too.

Got 2. Partially thawed, loined and refroze some. Rice is in the steamer. Some belly strips in the hali bait mystery bag.

Thanks guys.

Sorry forgot to get back to you.,.... I did see a couple boats selling tuna on the docks... :)

Some went down the toilet via a circuitous route, some in the freezer. I must say that raw, it wasn't as good as the rest for me. Texture and stronger flavour were off-putting for the wife. I need a recipe for cooked next time. Salmon bellies always stay on my fillets. Guests get the shoulder side.

Merry Christmas to all.
