Good ideas and likely will attract more prawns. I can see how filling snack-sized ziplock bags with the mixture and freezing them would give you a ready-to-go bait-can sized lump. Do you thaw overnight or just take them out of the freezer in the morning and use it still partly frozen?

Either. Depends on weather, freezer space, time of day I'm planning to go out. If it's gonna be a 1-2 hour soak, definitely thaw the bait ahead of time. You want that cloud of scent in the water the moment the traps hit bottom. That means it should be sloppy and dripping though the openings in the bait barrel, hence why I freeze it barrel and all.
