No crystal ball here, but.....I think we will see used prices drop a fair bit more.

I think we will see a larger drop in new and used, but just my thought.

On some trucks we are seeing discounts again, some I have seen (GM) $6500.00 in bebates on new

I’m still looking for an older dually in good shape. There is a nice looking ford at a dealer in Nanaimo for 10k anyone go look at it? Not sure if it has been bullet proofed?

Whoops. I wonder how many hours on the engines. Maybe it's that and the slow top speed? Be a good bareboat charter vessel if it was newer.

Ide consider selling my 2011 Ford f350, crew cab short box. Truck has 280k on it (mostly highway diving 200km+/day). Brand new $10,000 transmission installed 2000km ago, brand new tires installed 2 weeks ago, brand new front end, u joints, seals, brakes done 1000km ago. Tons more work done to it over the years.
Ide let it go for $30,000 firm.

I had not, but I just tried to build a Ford F350 camper package for 90k before taxes, delivery, and doc fee, and it didn't even have the metal tonneau cover and tire package the last owner put on. It makes me feel a little better about the depreciation I'm going through, but not much! The new safety features are something I want but after 30 years of no accidents I figure the less bells and whistles on the truck the less distracted I'll be.

I just did the Build & Price online. Exact configuration is $87,330 before any discounts and negotiating (model year 2024). Seems like this used one (3-4 years old, 25,000km) is priced too high in comparison.

I don't know specifically. I haven't bought a new truck post-COVID. I have noticed recently that dealers have radio ads specifically highlighting that they have 3500-class trucks in stock which is a favourable situation for a consumer.

I just did some online searching and found new, in-stock 3500HDs being listed for approx 7% off. So this specific truck would be discounted down from $88,330 to $81,200ish. Of course there's the dealer fees and all that fun stuff.
