Trotac annual sale

Was there today with my wife.....

Not quite as smokin' hot as I would have liked........first time in that store....reminded me of Harbor Chandler...

Speaking of Harbor Chandler...their everyday " 2 Coyote spoons for 10 bucks" still beat Trotac's sale...which was 20% off Coyote spoons (which were quite a bit north of 7 dollars each as I recall).

Didn't see anybody I recognized .....Wolf must have been gone by the time we got there....

Went to Oak Bay Marina rest. for lunch ( wife's Beef burger was 16 bucks and my Chicken and Bacon Ciabatta was 12 bucks......fairly tasty) and noticed BlueWolf Charters and "No Bananas" Charter boats were both tied up there......I always thought they fished Sooke not Oak Bay...

Closer to the productive halibut grounds this time of year for the charters to moor in Oak Bay.Also more consistent winter springs in that area.I'd suspect just cutting down on fuel costs and wear and tear on the boat Seafever.

I do not post very often but I would like to thank all the people who made an effort to come to our sale today. We appreciate all your business and hope to see you again. We made a huge effort to get the store ready for our show after moving half the store around. We still have more to do. We will also monitor this site much more to try to make sure that we keep up with competitor pricing and customer requests and customer service.

Thanks Roy Carver (BLUE WOLF) for your help today

Thanks Paul (toolman) Taylor

Too bad I missed you Sea i was there dont know how you didnt SEE me im not that skinny yet not like toolman LOL LOL...

The sale was a huge success from what I saw lots of people buying things at one point I was watching almost everyone coming out with the rod and reel combos that was a great deal, it was good to meet a lot of forum members that came in and said 'HI" I was giving kids free stuff as they left good to see parents bringing kids in....

As for my boat ive always fished Victoria for halibut 25 years now used to be at westbay(grew up there as a kid) for over 20 years then move boat out to sooke....

Great to see you Roy. You are looking great. And thanks for hooking up my little girl with that little crab trap. I'm gonna take her to esquimalt launch and catch some little crabs for fun.

As always, I enjoyed browsing the deals and picking up a handful of goodies as well.

My husband, son and I went down for the sale, the weather was good, the turn out appeared good and everyone was smiling!

Good prices on some bigger ticket items, lots of good deals to be had. I'm not too 'in tune' with lure prices, but if you don't save a couple bucks on those, it was well balanced off by larger savings on the more expensive items. I know we went home with lighter pockets and a gifted crab trap!

I'm not nit-picky over a couple of bucks, the customer service and staff there are always hands down the best! The event, from a parking attendant to Roy directing people traffic was very well organized. Good day!

Without name-tags, hard to introduce yourself and meet others but I had the opportunity to meet Roy (Blue Wolf Charters) and bonus... booked a full day trip so I'm super excited about that!

...

Your post got me thinking...I was at Trotac picking up my order;had a little time to kill,so took a pass by the spoon section,Coyote spoon prices Reg. ret $6 - $7.25 (6") the "show sale" price was 20%...i.e. 6" Reg,$7.25 -20% = $5.80 - don't have an MBA but I do know my north - south.

Trivial stuff for sure;had bigger fish to fry as I left sporting my new Trotac Hat,I counted my savings...:)
