the same cannot be said for places like Sand Heads though, way too many variables.yah pretty much exclusively jig now so rarely use it anymore.
Yes thinking of replacing my old TR1 with the newer Garmin unit. Wife would beat me if I didn't have AP on the kicker.only throttle I believe where as the TR1 has throttle control built into the autopilot system.
Itroll is more expensive, has a very complicated checkout system on their website and uses components made in PH and JP, JP being the better manufacturing location but PH can be good as well. I'd be surprised if the components made in those factory are parts from China. It's nice to see they have wireless now for itroll but what is the cost of one shipped to Canada? Why would someone choose to buy trollmaster Chinese junk when there are options out there like itroll? Maybe people don’t know about itroll? It’s an outstanding product with really great product support and customer service.
Thanks boss! Didn't know there was a new pro version. I'm not ready to drop another 200 on a remote right now but hopefully my ship comes in and I can upgrade some day.Ok here is the skinny. This is pertaining to the wired version. I was misinformed by (local rep), the wired versions are not going away, and are still a flagship product for the Panther line. There is none in Canada, due to the distribution not ordering the line. Which is not good because that means for warranty purposes or any kind of product support, your on your own with the supplier in which you purchased it from to have a quick turn around. Hope that makes sense. I can bring them in, however unless its a quantity its not worth the hassle.
On the wireless version. They have a new version that is the PRO Angler. Its a white remote. They think they solved the issue with the remote failing. They have 2 AA batteries instead of AAA along with a better battery contact and seal on the battery cover. The receiver is still the same so you can pair the new remote with the older system if you wanted to only purchase the remote. The new complete system has made a change to the cable and connector that connects the servo to the outboard as there was an interference issue and a mechanical connector issue in some cases. ( I havent seen one ).

A very complicated checkout system. My goodness, it’s a head scratcher for sure. I didn’t bother because of that.Itroll is more expensive, has a very complicated checkout system on their website and uses components made in PH and JP,
They are not auto pilots. They are kicker throttle incremental controllers. They can both manually control an auto pilot pump, with their wireless remote models, which operates a hydraulic steering application. Basically just a steering jog.Do Itroll Panther or Trollmaster hold a compass heading?
Looking for an alternative to the newer garmin kicker AP.
if and when you want to switch lemme know I might be interested in your tr1Yes thinking of replacing my old TR1 with the newer Garmin unit. Wife would beat me if I didn't have AP on the kicker.
I have the Navpilot 711C on my mains. Is the 300 kicker only? They are not auto pilots. They are kicker throttle incremental controllers. I would not look past the Furuno Navpilot300 in any case for an AP. More money but you get what you pay for in the end.
No its a full blown auto pilot just like your 711, however it has a bluetooth remote that really kicks butt when your fishing. Unfortunetly the remote doesnt work with the 711. Only the 300I have the Navpilot 711C on my mains. Is the 300 kicker only?
My 711C isn't quick enough to troll on one main or linked to the kickerNo its a full blown auto pilot just like your 711, however it has a bluetooth remote that really kicks butt when your fishing. Unfortunetly the remote doesnt work with the 711. Only the 300
Not sure what boat you have or engine configuration. Maybe I can suggest somthing if you give me your details on thatMy 711C isn't quick enough to troll on one main or linked to the kicker
I'll probably go with the Garmin TR1 replacement.
Can't fish without AP.
I don't troll on my mains. So a dedicated kicker AP is a must for me. Had 2 Furuno techs on my boat and they both agreed. Not sure what boat you have or engine configuration. Maybe I can suggest somthing if you give me your details on that
