Recall on Trollmaster systems: https://recalls-rappels.canada.ca/e...l&utm_content=en&utm_campaign=hc-sc-rsa-22-23
they do work well assuming you have installed it correctly but can be finicky sometimes as well. Ive heard that even the itroll can be a pain too but still makes life sooooo much nicer at the helm to adjust those min throttle bump ups.I'm mulling over getting a Trollmaster Pro 2 with the dial to hard wire a control box rather than a remote control system. Interested in hearing any feedback on how well they work in terms of maintaining a constant speed. Also interested if anyone has experienced issues with these units.
My trollmast 3 with the remote has been great. Eats batteries but other than that it's great.I'm mulling over getting a Trollmaster Pro 2 with the dial to hard wire a control box rather than a remote control system. I've been looking for one, well actually ShipHappens has been trying to find me one. No luck yet. Had one on my last boat and loved it.I'm mulling over getting a Trollmaster Pro 2 with the dial to hard wire a control box rather than a remote control system. How long do the two batteries last?My trollmast 3 with the remote has been great. Eats batteries but other than that it's great.
in my experience a couple trips maxHow long do the two batteries last?
Yeah, maybe 4-6 hours of trolling? I keep a sleeve of Amazon AAA on the boat. How long do the two batteries last?
Spark plug wires and coils are high voltage.yes, it seems to refer to running the trollmaster wires near a high voltage source, that may refer to 110volt, but they do not specify what they mean by high voltage. I could find nothing on their website under Safety and product notices
I've had the wired Trollmaster for about 5 years now. It's worked well, does what it says. Just be aware consistent throttle opening doesn't always mean consistent speed over ground or through water, wind and current can affect both of those. What you definitely get is the ability to make tiny adjustments to throttle setting, better than anything you can do with the kicker's throttle lever. Easy to turn it up say 4 points as you come into the wind and then down 4 when turning downwind. Or whatever works to get those rigger cables at the right angle.I'm mulling over getting a Trollmaster Pro 2 with the dial to hard wire a control box rather than a remote control system. i switched last year , you will love it , holds speed like a rock , zero isuues used over 100 times now , dial right beside my rear helm wheel , no more tap tap tap ,idle button when ya hook a big fish ,memory resume button when your done , and ! a full thrust momentary button when your in a pickle lol , smooth easy dial at your finger tips , best mod , right up there with the diesel heater Pat...highy recommend itI'm mulling over getting a Trollmaster Pro 2 with the dial to hard wire a control box rather than a remote control system. only throttle I believe where as the TR1 has throttle control built into the autopilot system. Not familiar with Trollmaster. Will it follow a heading hold like TR1?
