top 5 runs 2016?

Ya.... It would be nice to see anything other than dogs and reds making the list. Like record Chinook run makes its way back to the..... Lillooet River..... Lol. Never hear that or anything like it again

I think it paints the "no problem here" picture to the general public. What some want is the doom and gloom picture because that's what it is, if you compare numbers to the 60-80's

nice to hear a positive...my ex friend who defends farms uses this exactly like bones mentioned.

LOL it's a "SPONSORED POST" ie a commercial on the internet...... of course it's a good "news" story. Good "news" for Skipper Otto’s but that may not be a bad thing as long as you know what it is.

How were the early, mid and late summer Chinook numbers on the Fraser?
How were the sockeye that returned to the Fraser asides from the Chilliwack stock this year?
What was the interior Coho and steelhead return this year for the Fraser?
Did the stamp receive its banner runnof Chinook this year? What was the final numbers there?

Yep.....nothing to see here...5 bright returns amongst hundreds along the coast of bc that are dwindling....

And Bones the Birkenhead aka Lillooet stock has been decent up until they migrate into the nets that are set by the mt currie band. Pretty hard migrating past the reserve when there are nets blocking the river.

Ummm... Wasn't my point

Here is an article on the Chetco Bubble saltwater fishery at the mouth of the Chetco river is southern Oregon. For some reason, the Chetco & other Oregon/northern California Chinook runs are doing excellent in health. I wonder if these fish don't swim to Alaska so they aren't fished-out by the Northern Troll fleets. They also run late (as in Oct-Nov) so they might be avoiding the northern troll seasons.
As you look at the picture, this is a wild fish. I fished this once. Fish average 25# & something over 50# is caught yearly. Daily limit is two with only one wild. Possession limit is 10 (5 wild).
Pretty obviously a healthy run. Begs the question what's up with our Chinook?

Jumpin jesus what the hell is the guy in the pic keeping that old boot of a chumbly bum fish, those boots look like Derby's

Cuz size DOES matter. Sadly the fight of these fish is like a boot though. If you want something that's gonna peel-out 100+ yards you need brighter fish
