Top 3 go to Beers?

How i missed this thread...if we are talking boat beer aka can or bottle the pacifico, tofino brewing lager or the fernie project 9. Coors banquet and pretty much all of the others noted.

But if I could source Imperial here Id drown in it.

Now that I cant have sugars i drink michelob ultra no sugar, no carbs, I know boring but I do like a cold one now and then, and when I do cheat I really like the beer here at a local micro brewery called SOB. (sooke oceanside brewery) about 5 mins from sooke near the bike and surf shop

Its called patio lanterns its VERY yummy if you ever get a chance to visit this place get a flight you get to sample 4 differnt beers and supporting local.

I have three favourites in no particular order as the occasion and circumstances typically determine the selection. A box of 12 Stella in the tall skinny cans fits perfectly under the rack in my boat fridge so it’s the boat beer. Old Style Pilsner is a great camping and outdoor beer and a recent discovery is a craft brew, Laketown Lager by Red Arrow Brewing Co.

Coors Banquet(Original), Talisman, Fat Tug
But man do I barely ever get to the Fat Tug stage anymore. They're a mystery box of proof sometimes.

No kidding about Fat Tug… sometimes I feel buckled after one. They sometimes even taste noticeably off
Allegedly they don't actually know how much alcohol is in them. What's listed is a minimum. I can't remember who told me that but I have a lot of industry friends and it would have come from a valid source because I didn't question it. The theory also supported my opinion, so even more reason to believe it! 😆

On a hot Aug day… the coldest one, lucky,Kokanee. Once a Ranger always a ranger. Quick true story. I’m asleep guy breaks into my house he leaves with 2 Kokanee and my smokes. Goes down the rd and causes more trouble. Guy gets caught as he’s tossing the beers. Date stamp on the bottom matched the ones in my fridge. Off to jail he went. Kokanee Ranger saved the day.

When I drank like a fish, I would consume whatever it was until it was gone. Brand loyalty just wasn't there. But when I wished to enjoy a taste it was Old Stock, and many beefy'er craft beers with a super thick bold taste. Real hoppy, the hoppier the better.

Anyway that was then. My last drink was around five years ago. Never had the feeling for booze ever again after I chose not to drink. I did find a few really good fake beers, but I don't even drink them anymore either. Water coffee and tea for me now...

Not drinking like I did in the past has truly changed my mind. I don't care what others do in life as it ain't my business, but I made the choice that works for me. Cheers.
