Hey all:
We will be driving up in two weeks to spend two weeks fishing out of Tofino. It will be our first trip up there and I am searching for info on the best places to stay. We will be driving a truck with a slide in camper so will need a space to park (electricity optional). Also will be towing a boat and will need convenient launch site. I am unsure about mooring the boat or pulling it each night (thoughts?).

I have been told that if we don't have reservations by now that we are screwed..., is this true?

Lastly, can i find places away from town where I can pull off spend the night on the cheap? Just wondering.., in Montana we spend most of our time camping like this.

Anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You will be able to find moorage at 4th street dock (Gov't dock) or Weigh West Marina.

Try Bella Pacifica campground or the Golf Course campground, approx 15 minutes from town.

We will be glad to help you out with info, stop in at our Fly & Tackle shop on the main street as you drive in to town, just before the boat launch.

Hey Dogbreath,
What would be the closest launch and moorage site to mussel beach?
Thanks

This is where I stay when I'm camping on the W.Coast. Ucluelet is 30 min drive from tofino and also has great fishing. This place has got ****ty little camp spots but everything you need is here... tackle, freezing, launch, moorage and pub. Of course everything costs money.. BC .. bring cash ;)

Jay,
You came highly recommended for your service from a group of buddies that were up there last year. Apparently you stood out in their minds with your helpful service..., good job.

I'll see you in two weeks!
Steve

See you then..

Fishing is great now, and should only get better.
