Hello to all,
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and since there seems to be some knowledgeable fishermen in the mix who are willing to help those who ask NICELY,lol, I thought maybe I may ask a few questions myself that I have been pondering over.
One at a time though.:)
On Saturday I saw a few large groups of gulls, especially near Clover point. They did not seem to be feeding on any bait ball but many were feasting on something and for the life of me I have NO clue what. Can anyone fill me in?

well, looks like I'll go back to reading instead of wasting my time asking such stupid questions. :(
I guess the thoughtful ones are washing their boats and gear.

They could have been feeding on any number of type of krill or euphausid shrimp pushed together in the tide lines. Could have been bait too, although it's pretty small this time of year.
And yeah, there are a lot of smart**s answers on here. Take everything with a grain of salt.

Nope, Wolf is right...
there are hundreds of small gulls who work the outfall flow.
you can watch them move with the tide and they are not diving but
simply picking something off the surface.
When i first starting fishing there, i thought we were seeing the motherlode of baitballs. Not so, just $hit eater's :D

Sorry tideline I didnt think I was being mean or ???? I have had clients ask me the same question before in no way was I trying to make fun of you it was just lite humor. The pipe you can see on your sounder if you go from east to west or vice versa it is acually cracked thats why all the gull activity.
