Would anyone care to chime in with their thoughts about this weekend's almost full moon and big tide swings in regards to both Halibut and Spring fishing ???
I'm headed to Kyuquot on Saturday.

Hopefully its cloudy at night. Fish the lee side of structure and definitely be out for the slacks wether it be high or low...

dont fear too much. Full moon has killed fishing the next day for me, but this year after a full moon, we had a boat full. Not sure about the clear night vs cloudy (I dont remember the weather that night do too severeal BARLEY SANDWICHES). If tides and current are big you best bet is to fish structure that has bait trapped or hold bait. Good luck. Just hope the resident orcas don't show up

I just checked the tide forecast. I don't see anything that extreme about the tides this weekend, about a 5.5' differential is hardly a BIG tide. moon? well I hope it clouds over but we get what we get.

Kyuquot tides are 10-11 foot swings while I'm up there.
