Tell Your Best Joke

Years ago, I had a motorcycle that always let out a distinct whining sound somewhere behind the rider whenever I took it over about 160 km/h. I tore the rear end apart looking for bad bearings, worn sprockets, suspension bushings, you name it. Nothing I found or did made any difference, still the loud whining at 160 or above.

All it took was one solo ride and I realised the source of the high speed whining was... my girlfriend.
 
At 160 or above I wouldda thought that loud whining was a siren....

My wife can see the speedo.

She set a hard limit of 200 on the bike when we are riding in Europe. on the auto routes.

Now she rode for years until she developed eye floaters, so she is a fantastic pillion.

I put a back rest on my bikes and sometimes at night with her electrics on she falls asleep. Usually when we are droning down I-5.

When we get back to Europe I will not be riding that fast (older eyes, slower reflexes)
