We are enjoying the fishing at Telegraph Cove for the next few weeks, however, the prawn and crabbing in Beaver Cove has been dreadful. In past years, placing prawn traps in Beaver Cove was moderately sucessful. This year, no-one has found more than 3-9 prawns in their traps after a 24 hour soak.
We are wondering (along with all our neighbors in the camp-ground) where we can safely place some prawn traps close to Telegraph Cove. Many of the close bays are fairly exposed to the Strait, and seem to be at risk of getting caught in the currents, and heading to Alaska.
