suffix fishing line

Any one here use suffix for their mainline? Just had it put on my reels and the line keeps slipping out of the Scotty release clips???

Put 60 feet of 30 or 40lb mono if you fish plugs. Less if you don't. Clip to the mono.
I like the sebile knot.

We run the 25 & 30 lb mono as mainline and like it, no trouble keeping in the clip and very little memory

pull the extra tension clip out on the scotty clip
if your using the ones with yellow pads
and also they can be replaced ( how old are they)

Clips are brand new Scotties, couldn't keep them in no matter how far back we stuffed the line in. Changed rods to reels that had Berkley big game on them and didn't have any issues. If anything I just got 600 yards of suffix leader material :)

I have used Sufix 30# for years and not experienced any difference with it holding in the clips vs other lines?
Like tubber mentioned you are talking mono right?

I have a feeling he is running the Suffix 832 braid...

I had my top shot break off when I was using the braid and I tried to clip it directly to the braid with no luck.

Needs a top shot.

If in fact it is the mono... well then I am stumped.

Brand new, didn't slip when we switched to rod/reels running other line. We had 2 reels spooled with it, they both did the same thing. Only thing I can think is that something got on the bulk spool of line. Just going to strip it all off and replace with big game

Just to clarify, this isn't a post saying anything bad about PNT. Great store with a great staff, was just curious if this was a characteristic of suffix :)

Is that the Suffix mono that is kind of rubbery and stretchy?

I tried some of that a couple of years ago......couldn't even get a knot to hold on it .

It is so rubbery and elastic that knots come undone right away and it pulls right out of the clip when it stretches...
