Steering rod between main outboard and kicker

Just finished installing a POD and new 300 HP Suzuki outboard on my 24’ Orca Skagit. I have a 9.9 Yamaha kicker. Looks like my old system won’t work. Question: what commercial product works best to combine steerage between the 2 motors using the main steering wheel.

What type of steering does the main have? SeaStar makes a flexible rod that seems to work well, buddy has one on his 22 SeaSport. Can’t remember what they call it

Mine had this exact version. Sits inside the well and not at the back of the motors. Could not be simpler to hook up.

For me this was a game changer when fishing in the winter. I also installed a Troll Master remote throttle. I connect the trolling motor to the main and steer from up front while controlling the throttle with the Troll Master. When I have a fish on I pop the steering rod off the trolling motor and take control with the tiller.
