Stability Test Help in Courtenay!

hey guys,

All we have left to do is the good ol' stab test for this summer's guiding season. We are taking our Pursuit down to Parker Marine in a couple weeks to get 1000hr services done, and am hoping to get the stab test done then since it's convenient and the boat won't be in water up in Hardy till May long. Was hoping we could get someone who has done it before in the area to come give us a hand and make sure it is done right the first time so we can get the sticker sooner rather than later. Would really appreciate it and can be sure a 2-4 will be handed out!

Thanks,
David

I just completed the stability test and it was not all that dificult, just get a computer printout of the test and follow instructions. I used a gage that carpenters use to determin the list once all the weight was shifted to one side. We calculated the weight which is 75 kg x number of passengers and used coolers and a large garbage can filled with water plus a few bodies. Take your measurements without the weight in the boat and then add weight and take measurments again. Measure gunwhale to surface to determin downfloding, write down everything as you do it. I laid a board across the beam of the boat and put the angle gage on the board pretty simple way to determin the degree of angle when all weight is shifted to one side. All 'n all it was easier than I thought it would be. Wish I could take the time and go up and give ya a hand with the measuring and the 2 4 :D:D:D
