Does anyone know of anything that is better than WD40 to remove spruce gum. My boat is parked under some spruce trees and this spell of hot weather will have me cleaning off spruce gum for a few hours........:( Thanks, SS

That orange handcleaner from Cdn Tire. The one without the pumice.

Good Luck!

Hey SS,
I was noticing that myself all over my deck. Have you heard of 'goo gone'? That should get anything sticky off your boat. Try Crappy tire.
Good luck.

Thanks guys, sucked back a couple and hit the deck with WD40, not a pleasant job but I did "git her done"....... followed up with Starbrite Nonskid cleaner and she looks pretty good, at least in my current condition.....:D SS

Citris cleaner works very well but it also takes off any wax that you have on also.
i just spray a little on a strong paper towel and spot clean.

Rum Chum

Hey Nog, already thought of that........ only spot I have for the boat and I already moved one tree this year(buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)anymore and the wife will have me living on the boat...;) After spending three hours yesterday cleaning the boat I came to the conclusion that I would rather spend 15 minutes tarping her than 3 hours scrubbing her! Guess how I spent 15 minutes this morning..... Thanks for all of the helpful feedback guys, SS

I just used goo gone to clean the sap from bottom of my feet and it worked like a charm. Living under some thirsty trees as well.
Cheers SS
