NW Washington hauling service?

Hi guys,

Been living in Whitehorse now for almost three years and I want to upgrade from my kayak. Problem is, our boat market is insanely expensive and proper fishing boats are fought over and sold almost immediately after listing. Got me thinking creatively and I've come up with a harebrained scheme...

There are way more boats in Northwest Washington for reasonable prices that meet my specs. But would need someone to survey/purchase (on my behalf - though this would be hard?)/haul to the Bellingham ferry for shipment to Skagway, Alaska. I would then drive two hours to Skagway to collect the boat off the ferry.

Freight on the ferry is $1800CAD (for 20'LOA), but saves me 5000+km of driving and many days of travel. Money well spent, IMO.

Anyone know of a company that could help out?

I used Associate Boat Transport of Maryville, WA. to haul our 490 Meridian from San Diego to Lake Union in 2009. They were excellent, easy to talk to. 1-360-651-1300'
