Elk is still cold 45 F. Action was slow at first. Then a double as the sun gave way to cloud and rain.

Fished elk today from 11:30-3:00.
Temp was 62-64 Landed two lost one as it tangled up in lily pads. Missed 3.
Wind really picked up became really ugly.

I have a question about Elk Lake I have lived in Victoria for 10 years now and out of all those years I've see the lake have many different tinges in color but this year is the first time I've ever seen it so brown in color does anyone know why this is

This most likely from the effect of the new aerators for both Elk and Beavers. The first couple of years might get worst due to more oxygen being pump into the lake but it will get better, hopefully soon. I heard this was expected result.

Elk lake 55F. Slow, one strike on a gold bead headed fly. Not many out. Nice break in the weather.

Langford lake was slow for Sunday. Water temp was around 55. Did caught a 10 inch perch in chironomid though if that counts for anything. lol.

Elk 51 to 53 F midday. Lots of strikes, only one to the net. Not many people for such a nice day.

How was the blue green algae in Elk? Heard there was warning for Bever, Elk, and Thetis.
Barely noticeable at the launch by the rowers. The main body of Elk seemed okay.
