South Island Lakes 2022

I have seen trout in the creek next to the Brookleigh launch. I believe there’s a good chance some spawn in there. Triploids apparently feel no need to spawn. They just swim, eat and grow.
The brookleigh creek is a cutthroat stream, they used to spawn there, not current what is happening there now.
Growing up on the lake a friends older brother used to catch cutties, while we younger kids hammered sunfish, catfish, and the odd smallmouth.
Good times!
