Hi guys. I am heading to Otter tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting. If salmon aren't happening, is the bottom fishing around there any good? Thanks.

I've done well for halibut west of otter in June before.

Ya just head on up past Otter point about 25-30 miles and you'll be in prime area for Halibut's.
If that's too far you could try mooching some herring right in close to the Kelp Beds
Take only what you need.

SHS2, some locals still know a few more or less decent spots for ling and cod but usually not worth much time. It's only one ling and one rock fish anyway. Hali is good in the usual spots around Sooke if the tides are good. Jordan River would be good territory but there is also Muir Cr. and the Bluffs.

Thanks guys. I am in a tiny boat, so I won't really be running anywhere. I am itching for salmon anyway, so it won't be hard to stay focused. I appreciate the info.
