Slug Control in the gardens?

What’s everyone doing to keep slugs out of the garden? I seem to have a lot of slugs this year and they are having a hay day on our garden. Just put out some beer traps because the wife said that would work. But what works for you? Or should I just fling them as far as possible into the bush when I see them?

I walk around with a beer in hand and a big salt shaker few shakes and poof they shrivel up and die

Our chickens dont eat them much they like the worms and bugs more the quinia fowl we had and Ducks sure did

I have neighbours that claim ducks are the best slug removal system going.

Italian wall lizards showed up a couple years ago. I read they ate slugs etc, so I have rocks stacked around the garden to encourage them. Seems to have worked.
