Seastar smartstick help

I accidently bought the wrong version of the SeaStar smart stick AR4502) rudder reference sensor.. I didn't realize there was a specific version for raymarine autopilots. Does anyone know if there is a way to get it to work on a raymarine system? I'm guessing the output voltages are slightly different or something? Thanks!

Hey Mike, I'm pretty certain that Ray Marine is still in the dark ages on their own integration within their APs. They still use their seatalk stuff from what I remember. Everything in NMEA land gets converted last I checked. Have you called their tech line?

I emailed seastar but have not heard back. I'll see if raymarine has any insight.

not sure about the seastar one but the simrad rudder reference sensor works perfectly with the raymarine autopilot. its a generic n2k device.

Looks like the simrad one is waterproof which the raymarine version isn't. The seastar one is an easier application on an outboard. I'll look into the simrad. Thanks.
