What do you all use for scent on your hali bait. I have been using the over the counter stuff, smelly jelly, etc. But it is very expensive. Any one got any smelly mixtures they care to share the recipie for.
Thx in advance

A little humour never hurt anyone!!!! Time for all of us to not take things so personally. As for disrespectful comments like yours hard times are a little over the edge by my standards. Please feel free to email me if you feel otherwise. asportfishingbcmoderator@hotmail.com
Rather then Zapping a post I wanted to express an opinion like I will do more often when I have time. Sometimes it's quicker to zap a post then explain why I have done it via email only to find their email address for the member is no longer valid!

Not to hijack thread but I have found Kokanee, no scent to be excellent hali bait. Local lake allows 25 per day kokanee limit so no shortage of nice 10-13inchers. Shad, no scent also make excellent bait but no sure you see shad as for north as BC.

Beyond that no scent on herring, squid, salmon bellies, or sardines.
