Salmon Plugs ( OG Edition )

This batch started out with white uv base with hot rod flake and iridescent pink sides

Really pops under direct light and ghost under low light

Plug on the bottom with green eyes is a Chubby model and the others are shovels and a cypress birds eye burl plug.

Thanks guys and gals for your support and feedback.
Big high 5 for my buddy John for making this happen.
To start the season off I dropped off a load of Burls and a couple chunks of Nootka yellow cedar for John.

John turned this Red cedar birds eye into a set of 4 bowls all from the same piece of wood. Some fancy attached called a bowl saver worked its magic.

Same Vanna White pattern as the last batch but this time I tweaked the stripe and mixed in some fluorescent. I was surprised how it popped under the blue light.95DF9D1F-F161-4CE1-816C-60EB5E56DD24.jpeg
Plug on the left never had any Fluorescent added to the pink.Took a lot of mucking around to get the effect I wanted. Flourcent paint looks very chalky once dry and I didn’t want to loose that shimmer of the iridescent pink.

2 weeks ago I dropped off 4 plugs for my buddy Johny the master wood turner and a friend of his. There plan was to head to Winter Harbour for a couple days.

Got a email mail late last night and sounds like John and his friend had a blast and got into a few fish and where lucky enough to land a double header with the 6 inch experiment aka needle plug with the Vanna pattern and a 4 inch with the opal pattern on the other rod.

Apparently the 6 inch got a 8lb coho and large rock fish the day before.

Very happy for John, all his hard work payed off.
