Red snapper and halibut

Is there a red snapper location anywhere near Port McNeill and do they inhabit similar areas as halibut?..... thanks..

normally you get them as by-catch while looking for hali or lings - although some people might have there snapper holes. You won't get any snapper spots though as they can get fished out very easily.

They will take all the same hali gear, so just consider them a bonus.
