I just want a normal amount of juice. On the commander I could be on the hook for 10 days with zero power, water or provisions needed. Looking for half that if possible. The current system didn't last one night. Not gonna lie, Pacific Yacht Systems has some good videos, that may steer you in the right direction. I have to go back and read the thread more closely, but why do you want all the extra juice? Or is more about weight?
Ouch. Not one night? That's not good. I know modern boats have lots of electronics, but also lots of LED lights etc...so some savings there. Have you done the math yet about what is drawing the most?I just want a normal amount of juice. On the commander I could be on the hook for 10 days with zero power, water or provisions needed. No. I know the battery needs replacing and I also know that a group 27 AGM isn't going to get me what I'm looking for, ever. So I'm getting two birds stoned at once.Ouch. Not one night? 2 6 volt giant golf cart batteries that weighed about 400lbs and two 100w solar panelsWhat did you have in the Commander - seems like a useful reference point.
