My wife and I were at the Campbell river boat ramp today and it was a pretty low tide and quite steep. There was a guy loading a 28' bayliner onto his trailer, he got the boat about 3/4 of the way on his trailer and decides to pull it up the ramp. After about 20' up the ramp it was so back heavy the trailer pops off the ball and go's flying down the ramp into the drink boat and all. There was a mad scramble from the guys on the dock behind him to stop the boat before hitting thiers. Ten minutes earlier there were four boats lined up and it would have been a disaster and someone could have been seriously injured. I guess there is a reason for safety chains.
