Makes one wonder about anything done or sold at Canadian Tire. They didn't notice my 5 windows of tint either when my car came up.

Canadian tire does the RIV inspections because they won the bid, not because of their skilled workers.

I just had a trailer inspected at CDN tire that i brought up from the us 2 weeks ago. After about 15 minutes he came back and said your good to go but you owe $20.00 plus taxes. I explained i paid the riv fee at the border- CDN tire employee explained the fee was a BC recycling fee for the 4 tires as the tires had not been purchased in B.C. I laughed and said good thing you guys didnt see the spare tire mounted on the treailer LOL. As i had the keys to the towing vehicle I asked how they checked the lights and brakes etc. Fellow said they dont conduct a safety inspection or check any of that they just confirm the serial numbers etc and that it is what the documentation says it is. IE a trailer with the right serial/ registration numbers, description etc. Our tax dollars at work!

I bought mine off the sweetest couple in Oregon you'd ever want to meet. Terrific people, we still keep in touch. He's 84, she's 81. She loves fishing, he can't stand fishing. He drove a boat for her so she could fish for over 40 years. LOL Craigslist was the medium. Easy to import.
