Onboard Fish Scale

I’ve had a vevor scale for a few months now and it seems to work well. Bright display and accurate. All metal with a solid shackle for hanging it. Can’t speak for its longevity yet. You’ll find them on Amazon for less than $50.

I used to have a plastic Berkley and it was a pos. Couldn’t read it half the time, and crapped out after a year.

Second the Berkeley scale p.o.s. for sure.
I bought a Chinese digital scale from Amazon for $20.
Works great, I keep it in a plastic bag on the boat.

I use a spring scale that has an integrated measuring tape that I just recently dug out of my older tackle box from about 20 years ago. It has a little calibration screw and I was able to tweak it to fairly accurately read 12 and 24 lbs with two cannonballs.

THE BEST

BogaGrip Model 130

The scale weighs fish up to 30 pounds in 1/2-pound increments. It is 10 3/4 inches long and weighs 1 pound.

Have been using since 2005. Attached a float to the tether so it won't sink if dropped. Works perfectly. Does NOT rust even with almost no maintenance. Buy once, cry once.
