3d printed some reel knobs that I designed

Well got bored over the last couple weeks as I haven’t had decent time or weather to de winterize my boat. I decided to 3d print and design some nicer style knobs for my tmx 5’s!

Now I don’t mind the original knobs but much prefer the feel of the Islander style knobs, took multiple measurements and started on fusion 360.

After a lot of fiddling with minor adjustments in the cad design and prints finally got some decent looking and feeling knobs, 3d printed em out of PLA+ and will be uv and water proofing them.

Maybe try printing them with some PETG-CF they would come out great and more durable than PLA+

I use this stuff just on regular PETG setting and it prints great.

does it require a heated bed?

My bed is heated but I am not sure it’s required, if you can print PETG you can print this stuff.
