i have a stainless prop on a225 yamaha thinking of a aluminum prop .i would hate to hit the stainless on the rocks.looking for ideas.thanks ..........Don

Going from a 3-Blade Aluminum to a Composite 4-Blade, putting it on this weekend. Seems really slick. Reviews are good, and hopefully it will get me on a plane faster! Blades are individually replaceable.

http://piranha.com/ Got it from Canada propeller.

I meant to put it on last weekend, but someone smart person (previous owner) cranked the prop nut on with an impact or something! So stupid!!! Glad I found that out at the dock and not in a broken prop scenario.

why would you hit your prop on rocks, lol? either way stainless or alu you will still need it fixed and a new hub pressed. and stainless are way better for fuel efficiency and high power motor such as yours.

100% right. Keep the aluminum or composite as a spare for the emergency scenario.

In these days, with super accurate GPS and sounders, if you hit the rocks, you should not be on the water and deserve what you get ;-)

Sorry DW I can see your point. I was imagining that you were talking about roaring around and hitting a rock due to inattentive piloting. In your case I can understand the desire for a 'sacrificial prop'

haha not to worry the stainless prop is alot harder on on leg all the way up to the crank .i would rather sacrifice a aluninum prop blade.than shock the motor with the stainless prop.tite lines Don

whats that sucker worth?
