Prop for New 200HP Yami

Hey guys,

We just put a new 4stroke 200 in our 22ft Campion Explorer. At the place we got it done, they transfered the prop from our 1997 Saltwater Series II 200hp 2 stroke onto the new 4stroke. I am curious if this prop will be the most fuel efficient for the new engine or if it would be wise to invest in a different, newer prop. All input is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Four strokes usually you drop a little bit of pitch. Best bet is round up a few props from your Yam dealer, and hit the water wtih a full load and a flow meter.

Dont forget to verify youre getting your max rpm.. The worst thing you can do is overload it.

Everyone I've talked to said do up a 19...not a 23 or 21...and on our 250's on our Pursuit...we have counter rotating 19's and they are beauty.

My 215 Fishing machine, similar hull to yours swung a 17" Solas prop. Was fine, tried a 19, lugged too much in the swell.
