Prawning Work

This is obviously not the time of year to be asking much about prawns, however I'm far away from the fishing grounds for the remainder of the year and wont be back until April. Around that time I'm hoping to land a job as a deckhand on a prawn boat, anybody have any info on where or whom to ask?

Always nice to hear the prawns are about but I'm still looking for a bit more info. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Most guys on here are sport fisherman. If I recall you would want to look at the work boat directory to find work boats. The other thing I would do is make posts at all the local docks. There is also a magizine that posts work and jobs wants to the commercial fisherman. Find the name of the Mag. and make a post in there or follow it for fisherman needing deckhands. Also find their buyers and put an ad up on their post board.
