Anyone one know where to get a good deal on some rope over here on the mainland, any tips would be greatly appreciated.

nikka or pacific net and twine both in stevenston. it depends on how much, but what I do for for four traps it two 200 of sinking foot rope for both ends and then six hundred of floating for the middle so it doesn't get hung up on the bottom and the sinking so no boat props get it because it doesn't float

There is a great rope shop in North Vancouver called Donaldson Ropes as well as Redden Ropes in Stevenston. Redden had the better price but Donaldson had the better rope when I was shopping for lines last month. Much cheaper then a sporting good shop. Just tell them what you need it for and either place will set you up.

I like getting used rope from Pacific Net and Twine or other outlets that service the commercial boys. Used rope coils easier.

Thanks a lot guys I really appreciate the feedback, this site is awesome. I will have to give PNT a call on Tuesday. On a side note I just purchased 3 new traps, I had one stolen in each of my three trips to bamfield last season. When you add up the price of the trap, rope and float it gets pretty expensive. It will be nice to save a little loot.
