Port McNeil

Thinking about heading to port McNeil around November 10-17. Not sure if anything is open for fishing or if someone had a better recommendation for that time of year. Anywhere around or north of Campbell River. Would like to catch some crab, maybe prawns and possibly do some fishing as well. Not sure if anyone could recommend a guide for then as well. The ones I found online all said finished at end of September.

Ya it’s slim pickings and prime storm season. Great time of year to test your boat and your crew in big water conditions.

Crabs and prawns are probably your best bet if you can find a day to get out.

Coho might still be around but definitely the tail end of any runs, and probably limited to hatchery only.

Not sure when the halibut and lingcod season closes. I’m usually prepping for steelhead that time of year.
